Our hearts are troubled this week as we think of the devastation that’s been caused by the fires in Australia. So much so, it’s been challenging to turn our attention back to our daily tasks when there is so much suffering going on. One thing we know, it’s important to act. We are constantly looking for ways to help our local and global community, showing compassion for people and the planet. We see the need to help and know we can do more together. Join us in helping those in need.
To help this cause, we’ve already donated $5k. This is where you come in. We will match up to an additional $5K in donations made to the charities listed below. Just send a copy of your donation to give@underbelly.is and we’ll contribute a matching donation to the same fund.
How to Join In and Help
Step 1: Choose how you want to contribute
Option 1: Donate and have your contribution matched… twice! Now since we love creative solutions and can’t resist good opportunities to collaborate, here is an opportunity to quadruple your donation: Cheryl Sandberg said in a facebook post on Monday that Facebook would match up to $1 Million AUD in donations made through GlobalGiving. So, effectively, if you give $50, taking advantage of both matches, you will have made it possible to send $200 to help those affected by the fires. Facebook told Business Insider “All donations made on the crisis page or through the Donate Button on top of Newsfeed are eligible,”.
