Movable Ink

Building a website for a new partnership marketplace launch.

Challenge

Movable Ink enables digital marketers to bring their data and creative together to automatically generate personalized visual experiences at the moment of customer engagement across email, web, display, and mobile. Movable Ink’s visual experience platform effectively eliminates the production bottleneck that prevents brands from personalizing visual content at scale. With its powerful technology, world-class services, and unrivaled industry expertise, Movable Ink helps brands boost campaign performance, reduce product production costs, and deliver more compelling on-brand customer experiences.

Movable Ink Exchange is a new marketplace of partner solutions and integrations. With Movable Ink Exchange, clients can explore and discover an extensive offering of partner integrations and solutions for next-best actions, loyalty, recommendations, user-generated content and more. By enabling partner solutions in the exchange, marketers can use Movable Ink to unlock data from existing martech investments to automatically generate personalized visuals for campaigns across email, mobile, web, and display.

Movable Ink reached out to us looking to build a website that features the Movable Ink Exchange and its partner solutions after learning more about Contentful, one of our favorite content management systems.

“The Movable Ink Exchange landing page allowed users to interact on a large touchable screen so partners could learn more about what Movable Ink offers. It also illustrated how they can partner with others and learn more about enabling solutions through the exchange.”

Approach

We developed the Movable Ink Exchange landing page and created a content management system (CMS) for their team to maintain its own website highlighting the partner ecosystem. The company planned to launch the Movable Ink Exchange at its 4th annual Think Summit in October 2019 and wanted the landing page to feature a searchable repository of available partner integrations all in one place. The Underbelly team was available remotely at launch to fully support the Movable Ink team during the live demonstration at Think Summit.

The Movable Ink Exchange landing page allowed users to interact on a large touchable screen so partners could learn more about what Movable Ink offers. It also illustrated how they can partner with others and learn more about enabling solutions through the exchange.

What We Did

Two developers from our team worked on this project, using Contentful to manage the CMS and integrate forms using Marketo. Along with ensuring colors and contrast met Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 standards, our design and development team ran multiple audits to ensure the focus order of components were in a predictable order and made sense to people using screen readers.

Using our knowledge of accessibility across development and design, the Movable Ink site scored near perfect scores when tested by Lighthouse Audits, and by installing Jest-Axe, which runs tests for accessibility, alerting the team of any updates or changes that can be made to make the code more accessible.

Results

Underbelly allowed the Movable Ink Exchange to be scalable within their organization, allowing their team to customize each page within the given components we built for them. We developed their website with a repository where a user can find all partner solutions, and integrate them directly into their user account.

The Movable Ink Exchange was a huge success at the Think Summit launch, and we look forward to the continued success of the growing platform in 2020.

The Underbelly team is excellent and the end product was exactly what we asked for. The team was always quick to respond to questions, fixes, and was eager to help us find a solution.
